WOOD DALE, IL – Danaher Motion introduces the revolutionary IDC Impulse Microstepping Drive. The Impulse utilizes the power of a Digital Signal Processor (DSP), and features five new advanced motor control functions to obtain the ultimate in stepping motor performance.

This ultra-compact microstepping drive features Open Loop Stall Detect™ (OLSD™) for detecting a motor stall without an encoder or resolver, Multi-Stepping™ for low-resolution step input (25,600 microsteps out), and Dynamic Smoothing™ for rounding the edges of the move profile (pseudo-S curve). Xtreme Smoothness™ eliminates the motor's natural resonance speeds, and a Motion Node option provides additional move capabilities. The Impulse is able to power frame size 23 and 34 stepping motors by virtue of its 4 amps of available current, and features the best performing and largest range of anti-resonance capability in the industry (7.2 degrees).

• User configurable I/to active high or active low operation
• Programmable input resolution from 200-100,000 steps/rev

• 160 VDC Bus voltage for increased torque at higher speeds
• Built-in regenerative circuit

• Easy configuration with Application Developer software or an FP100 keypad
